A "Me" Post

(photography courtesy of Sophie)

I don't have much going on so I thought I would do one of these. Here you go -

What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was in my Senior year at Viewmont High. I worked it so I took all easy classes that year. It was great. I went about 1/2 of the time and still managed a 3.9 gpa. My friend Ashley and I would go dancing at "The Bay" about 3 times a week. Good times.

5 things on my to-do list today.
1. Go to the Bank to deposit my checks and get my kids suckers.
2. Clean the Bathroom. Tim heard Cooper in the bathroom in the night and checked on him. Cooper was so out of it, he was peeing on the closed toilet seat. We cleaned most of it up, but now I have to deep clean. GROSS!
3. Clean the rest of the house.
4. Do lots of laundry
5. Go to work

6 snacks I enjoy.
1. Chili's chips and salsa
2. Frozen York Peppermint Patties
3. Homemade Sugar Cookies
4. Barbeque Lays potato chips
5. Popcorn, the full fat version
6. Nibs red licorice

3 Bad Habits
1. I am a major picker. I pick every bump I can find. I need therapy!
2. I throw my clothes on the floor after I try them on. I have tried to not do this, but it is impossible. I hate haning up clothes.
3. If anyone compliments me or my kids on an outfit or any item, I instantly tell them where I got it and how cheap it was. I just need to say thank you.

If I were suddenly a billionaire, I would....
Buy my forever home, buy a house for everyone in our family, travel a lot, buy an Armada and Tim a sports car then invest the rest.

5 places I've lived.
Bountiful, Bountiful, Bountiful, Bountiful, Farmington. I gotta say, moving clear to Farmington was a big step. Hee Hee.

5 jobs I've had.
1. a Baby Sitter
2. Working at a Baseball Diamond in the food stand. Man those 14 year old baseball players were sure cute back then.
3. Shopko. I was a cashier, worked in the clothes, worked in the Lawn and Garden (that's where I learned the difference between a perrenial and an annual), then the Customer Service desk. I am still friends with the people that worked with me.
4. Best Western CottonTree Inn. That is the place I met Tim. I was the front desk and he was a bell boy. How classic is that. Tims 2 older brothers also met their wives there. We all worked it! I went into sales and was able to organize NBC staying with us for the Olympics. It was a great experience. I then moved to Assistant Manager and hated it. The ownership turned into Scientologists and would make us have Scientology "Business" meetings. Pretty crazy
5. Vernon Insurance. I started off full time, had Cooper and I am now able to work part time at nights an Sat. mornings. I love it. It is a great clear my head from kids stuff job.

5 things people may not know about me.
1. I am a happy cryer. I get this one from my Dad. Picture this, It is the Million Dollar question on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and the guy gets it right. Turn to my Dad and I and we are crying like babies. Picture this, It is the Academy Awards and the Actress is so happy she won. Turn to my Dad and I and we are crying like babies. Picture this, It is a super cool happy commercial that reunites people. Turn to my Dad and I and we are what??? Still crying like babies.
2. When I type, I always type in form instead of from and have to correct it everytime.
3. I could literally shop all day without buying anything. I love to go to stores.
4. Speaking of stores. I will take my kids to Target just so we can get the $1.00 popcorn soda combo and walk around Target for an hour, refilling the drink 3 times.
5. I hate unloading the dishwasher. It is pure torture for me. I would rather load 30 dishwashers instead of unloading 5. The same goes for putting away folded clothes. I think I have done a post about that one. I guess you can come to the conclusion that I am not a good putter awayer :)

Well, that's me in a nutshell!

I love reading these things! We have quite a bit in common. I hate putting anything away also. Emptying the dishwasher and putting away clean clothes is definitely torture. When I do laundry I let my clean clothes sit in hampers until I have to clean my room again. It is pretty pathetic. As for the crying thing...I don't do that, but it is pretty funny to watch shows with you and dad!

That is sooo hilarious.
Oh I hate the pee on the toilet seat....

I really enjoy that you fill your drink up 3 times for your hour of target time that cracks me up. Also... the crying thing is hilarious. Ok. It all made me snicker. good post!

Classic pee on the seat, Bryan is 34 and still has issues hahaha (he is going to be unhappy at me for saying that) Addy will come and unload your dishwasher for you that is her favorite thing to do! It is the first job she learned. Now it is loading the dryer! and she puts clothes away! She is yours anytime! I loved learning more about you! we like the same treats, then again I like anything!

Maybe we should start a support group for pickers!

I love knowing all this stuff about you...so much I didn't know!

We have so much in common! I am a big picker too! This very moment I am peeling from a sun burn and it's in the middle of my back and I can't reach it. I might loose my mind!

I also have the problem of telling people where I got something and yes...what the cost was? Why do we do that? I hate when I do that!

We miss you guys!

Yes, love the get to know you stuff. And so good to know that you get 3 refills. Didn't know that, but you better believe I'll be heading to Target tomorrow for some popcorn and Rootbeer. Mmmm.

Glad to hear I'm not the only commercial cryer. How about the previews to kids movies? I'm crying before the movie even starts.

P.S. You're so cool!

You are brave for posting all that, especially about the Scientologists. I hear they are a little fanatical. I love to pick ingrown hairs.

LOVED reading this. I'm a happy crier too. Don't even get me started on Extreme Home Makeover. I saw Ty Pennington at the Farmer's Market and told him I cry everytime I watch. He said, he did too. And I'm with you on the dishwasher. HATE unloading.
