Don't be afraid of canned meat!

This week I am raving about some things I picked up at Costco. My mom and I were strolling the aisles pretending to need stuff (we were mostly there for the samples) when we came across a sample of this canned roast beef. I am pretty picky when it comes to meat so I was a little afraid to try this, but I caved and tasted it. Oh my - it is awesome! They had it mixed with this steak seasoning and it was so tasty. Both my mom and I bought some and have used it a lot since. It looks a little scary when you open the can because it is in chunks that you have to shred with your fingers or forks. When you have it shredded, you can pretty much do anything with it. It tastes almost as good as home cooked roast beef. (I say almost because lets get real, nothing is better than Pam or Dellena's home cooked roast beef) I like to make taquitos by mixing it with some steak seasoning and salsa on the stovetop, filling corn tortillas with it, then rolling them up and let them bake in the oven until crispy. There is the recipe in a booklet that comes on the can. I dip the taquitos in sour cream and green salsa. Mmmm....
